We currently have an immediate requirement for a Manager, IT Infrastructure AdministrationThis is a permanent opportunity and the location is San Jose, CA.

Role: IT Mgr-IT Infrastructure Administration

The IT Systems Administrator plays a key role on the IT team.  He or she will drive projects, support end users, and manage applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

General IT Administration Responsibilities

•              Plan, implement, and drive adoption of company’s products internally

•              Troubleshoot system and network problems

•              Diagnose and solve hardware or software faults

•              Maintain accurate data in asset management system

•              System administration of Linux and Windows server platforms

•              Cisco CUCM Administration

•              System monitoring

•              System patching

•              Manage corporate backup solutions

•              Support the roll-out of new applications

•              Test and evaluate new technologies

•              Configure serial console servers for use with infrastructure devices

•              Manage and monitor UPS units

•              Install new equipment in the lab data center environment (blades, servers, network gear, etc…)

•              Configure switch ports as necessary

•              Document built-as as things are brought up

End-User Support Responsibilities

•              Remote and local desktop support including installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems, and applications

•              Support Mac, Windows, and Linux systems

•              Support iOS and Android mobile devices

•              Talk staff through a series of actions, either face to face or via telephone or webex to help set up systems or resolve issues

•              Test system configurations prior to roll outs and upgrades

•              Update information in Active Directory

•              Support Office365 email, SharePoint, and one drive

•              Create and maintain documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles

Required Skills

•                   Strong verbal and written communication skills

•                    Ability to manage on complex projects with close attention to detail

•                    Proficiency with VMWare or other virtualization infrastructure

•                    Advanced knowledge of Juniper and Cisco network gear, including switches, routers, and firewalls

•                    Familiarity with VoIP phone systems

•                    Understanding of network services and protocols

•                    UNIX/Linux CLI and scripting

•                    Windows Server administration

•                    Familiarity with datacenter hardware mounting and power
