SAST Manager- 14315

Our direct client is one of the multinational application security product development company. This Permanent role located in Houston, TX.



Manage and grow a distributed team of application security experts who are responsible for configuration, monitoring, and vulnerability verification of Client’s static analysis scanner with responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing (hire/fire).

Translate company goals and initiatives into specific action plans for teams and individual contributors.

Scales team performance to meet company growth rate through process simplification, automation and team skills development.

Exercise independent judgment with minimal direction; capable and experienced, continually driving for results, not just managing efforts. Analyze existing processes, define, launch and drive strategic and operational initiatives.

Develop, design, and implement improved business processes or solutions and KPIs to monitor and measure their efficacy.

Cross Functional

Accountability for deliverables to multiple cross functional teams in a high interrupt environment.

Develop a deep understanding for how current product features and capabilities can be used to deliver application security value within an application security program. Advise customers on achieving best results in their environment.

Evangelize, both externally and internally, the value that Client Sentinel Source can bring to an application security program and the best practices that help achieve maximum value.

Acts as advisor to subordinates, other business units, and customers to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.

Identify and advocate for needed product fixes, improvements, and new features with a focus on improving the security value that can be delivered to customers.

Frequently interacts with team members, customers, and/or functional peer group, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company organizations, or customers and the company. Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.

Proactively identifies and mitigate risks and issues

Acts as a change agent on behalf of the customer and company




A Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field; or equivalent work experience




3+ years of management experience including building high performance teams.

3+ years experience in relevant technology fields including: enterprise software development, software testing, quality assurance, and application security.

Passion for building world class application security solutions

Strong technical acumen, excels at learning new skills through self-study and exploration, able to quickly act in the moment

Ability to operate within a fast-paced dynamic environment, and able to establish and maintain internal and external customer relationships

Solid understanding of the SaaS business model

Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills

Demonstrable communication capabilities including oral presentation and ability to present in front of local and remote teams, and executive leadership; strong collaboration and storytelling skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with experienced meeting facilitation capabilities

Self-motivated, enthusiastic and promotes a can do operating style

Proven ability to overcome a wide variety of obstacles: technical, organizational, and interpersonal




Demonstrable knowledge of a broad range of Information Security practices and technologies

Demonstrable success building and driving high performing teams of technical experts

Application development specifically web and mobile applications

Application security assessment, design, and remediation

Application security program design and implementation

Analyzing, reviewing, and securing code in multiple languages, development methodologies and environments.

CCSP, CISSP, CEH or other industry certifications are desirable
