Tech Support Specialist II

Maxonic is looking for a Tech Support Specialist II for one of our customers. They are the market leader in enhancing higher education technology.

  • Deploy new computers to customers. Also evaluate, refurbish, and redeploy computers. 
  • Troubleshoot user problems at the desktop. Knowledge of PC hardware, software and networking issues. 
  • Independently resolves hardware break-fix issues, network connectivity and application related questions for third party products. 
  • Coordinates with the appropriate subject matter experts to obtain assistance to resolve concerns for proprietary applications of the client. 
  • Assist Project Managers in the end to end process for destination moves and hardware/software upgrades. 
  • Includes client interviews, technology evaluations and recommendations, developing integration requirements, application configuration/distribution, UAT, on site resource management, technical training and Day One support.
  • The contracting assignment could possibly be extended and also this is an excellent opportunity to showcase Tech Support Skill sets and obtain a FTE role with the client.
Must Haves: 
  • Basic Computer Knowledge – know how to set up a computer with the software programs and wifi out of the box.
  • Knowledge of connecting with Media sources 
  • Client facing, ability to interact with all end users and all levels, students and teachers/professors 
  • Customer Service/Professionalism - Business attire required (no jackets) 
  • Hit the ground running – not an entry level role - Two (2) years of experience requested 
  • The contractors mush have the basic computer knowledge to hit the ground running, however, the client manager will be pulling Tech Specialist from other client college/university accounts to partner up with the new contractors to help/assist the contractors to get acclimated.
  • Client's Hiring Manager is also open to Network Admin contractors who would want a Tech Support role. 

Position logistics:

  • Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the US for any employer.
  • Job Location is Ann Arbor, Michigan
  • 3 months Contract position
