Financial Analyst II

Our client is one of largest virtualization companies in the world.  Their products help streamline how complex applications can be used and viewed.  They are a Silicon Valley powerhouse and are currently in need of a Financial Analyst II

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Drive improvements in execution for client's SDWAN portfolio (SaaS metrics, Cogs optimization, discounting, etc) 
  • Revenue and margin forecasting and other analysis 
  • Marketing programs, business trends and pricing analysis 
  • Acquisitions: financial due diligence and integration 
  • Short & long-term planning processes 
  • Business planning and financial modeling 
  • R&D investment decisions 
  • Inbound licensing/COGS FP&A 
  • Spend & HC analysis and review 
  • Location strategy 
  • Business Unit pro forma statements 
  • Lead one or more of the critical financial planning & analysis processes for the Products Division. Examples include the inbound licensing framework and the investment/portfolio analysis process. Create, improve, or streamline the process as needed. Champion framework and drive adoption 
  • Collaborate with the Products FP&A team and other parts of client's Finance to enhance the function’s contribution to the company. Share best practices, identify gaps, lead change and help determine priorities. 

Required Skills: 

  • BA or BS in Business, Finance or Accounting 
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in finance/accounting with a strong record of career progression 
  • Experience working in an enterprise software, SaaS, or other high tech company 
  • Bookings/Revenue actuals & plan models 
  • Proven results providing finance business partnering to R&D/Product Management executives 
  • Deep understanding of accounting and compliance requirements

  • Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills

Position Logistics:

Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the US for any employer

Location:  Palo Alto, CA

Duration: 5-6 months contract
